Q. How do I reference my work?

If you are using quotations, ideas or information from other people’s work in academic writing, you need to acknowledge the source. This is known as referencing or citing.  Most schools use Westminster Harvard style.

Our referencing guide shows you how to cite and reference in Westminster Harvard style using examples. You can also download our PDF referencing booklet

Some schools use a different system. Remember to check your course handbook so that you are familiar with exactly what referencing system your school or course requires.
